The Twist is ESAMY's criss-cross back one-piece swimsuit in Black, with a V-neckline, a high-cut leg and one continuous strap that crosses twice at the back. Adjustable, dig-free side ties, removable cups and gentle tummy control complete the fit. It is made in the EU from ECONYL® regenerated nylon.

How to measure:

Bust: Measure over the fullest part of your bust when wearing an unpadded bra. Our sizes currently cover bra cups from A to approximately E (EU sizing).

Hip: Measure around the fullest part of the hips (it is below you hip bones).

Care Guide

First Wear: Your swimwear may feel snug when worn for the first time and while still dry, but it will soften and stretch slightly once wet, offering a more comfortable fit.

Rinse After Use: Always rinse your scrunchie with fresh cold water immediately after each use. Saltwater, pool chemicals, and sunscreen can weaken or stain the fabric.

Stain Prevention: Contact with tanning oils, sunscreen, and pool chemicals can stain your swimwear. Choose a sunscreen without colorants or added fragrances to minimize this risk. This is also kinder to your skin and the ocean.

Washing: Hand wash in cold water (max 30°C) with mild detergent. Avoid bleach, softeners, and machine washing. If you must use a machine, choose a gentle, cold cycle. Never tumble dry or iron.

Avoid wringing: Try to not wring out your swimsuit after rinsing, as this can stretch and distort the fabric.

Drying:

Avoid drying in direct sunlight to prevent color fading.

Don't hang your swimsuit by the straps to dry, as this can cause stretching. Instead, dry it flat or hang it from the widest part to maintain its shape.

Don’t leave your swimsuit wet and rolled up in a bag or towel. Rinse and dry it as soon as possible.

Surface caution: Rough surfaces like rocks, piers, or surfboards can damage your swimsuit. Be mindful of where you sit or lay.

The material and way it’s cut makes a big difference

Compared to my other swimsuits the way this is designed has made a huge difference in not cutting into my hips! I’m super happy with that and the material which is thick stretchy and double lined so I know this will last ages. It’s super adjustable with all the straps too which is great.

I ordered a swimsuit from ESAMY as a gift for my wife. At first, I got The Flex, but my wife realized she needed a different size since she’s currently 6 months pregnant (the swimsuit should ideally grow with her).

I then chatted with Evi, the founder of ESAMY, via Instagram — and she was amazing! We sent her all the personal measurements (bust, hips, etc.), and she checked which model and size would fit best. She then sent us The Flex and The Twist again, this time in size M instead of S.

My wife ended up choosing The Twist in black — it fits perfectly, can be adjusted in so many ways thanks to the straps, and will definitely grow a bit more with her bump. We’re pretty sure it’ll still look great even after pregnancy.

We also really liked The Flex, especially the contrast stripes, but it’s probably better suited for after the baby — The Twist is just more flexible for now.
This definitely won’t be our last order from Evi and ESAMY!
